You Go, Girl Gift Guide 2023

Celebrating Connections: You Go, Girl Favorite Things Gift Guide

This blog is a celebration of friendship, shared experiences, and the joy of giving. As the holidays quickly approach, our group has come together to curate a special gift guide.

While we wholeheartedly believe that time spent together is the most precious gift of all, there's something undeniably heartwarming about sharing the things we love with the people we hold dear.

In the spirit of warmth and camaraderie, we're thrilled to share with you a carefully crafted list of our favorite things—thoughtful and delightful gifts that have woven the tapestry of our shared moments.

So, join us on this journey of connection and discovery as we unwrap the stories behind each item, hoping to inspire the perfect gestures of love for your cherished friends/family.

Let the gift-giving season begin!

Who is YGG?

You Go, Girl is a group of women who gather monthly to do fun things, create community and share experiences. We started in January 2022 with a snowshoe adventure and we have met monthly since then. In 2023 our group continued to grow as we continued to gather. And now as we head into 2024, we are so excited to create more amazing memories together.

The photos below are from our Holiday Brunch which was a beautiful celebration of our flourishing community. In years past, we had done a Favorite Things White Elephant Gift Exchange, but this year we opted to support Sophia’s Place, a local homeless shelter.

So instead of gifting each other our favorite things, we have curated this list for you. Enjoy!

You Go, Girl favorite things gift guide 2023:

Beauty

  • Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions Marta

    • This mascara is a tape mascara and doesn't smear throughout the day and is so easy to remove! Really extends and makes your lashes looks long and full. My favorite!!

  • Beachwaver Rotating Curling Iron Ilyse

    • Makes your hair looking great - nice wavy beach curls.

  • Odacite Repair Balm - Lisabet

    • This balm is super hydrating and calming, plus it smells delicious.

  • Tinted Lip Oil Joan

    • I dislike the feeling of lipstick, but I love to have a little hint of color on my lips. This oil is perfect - not too thick, no taste, and stays on a long time.

Beverages

  • Palais des Thés Tea Cheronne

    • Green tea with sweet rose and elderberry - yummy tea and beatiful tin it comes in!

  • Sleepy Monk Coffee Kim

    • We discovered this fun coffee shop in Cannon Beach, OR during the pandemic. If you've been to Cannon Beach you may have seen the line stretching out the door every morning. We started ordering our coffee beans from them after our visit and continue today. It's a cute place with yummy treats to step inside of when you visit Cannon Beach as well!

  • Harney & Sons Victorian London Fog Tea Katie

    • It’s the perfect cozy cup of tea for the winter - best with milk and sugar :)

Cozy

  • Asian Wrap Organic-Cotton Pyjamas Lisa

    • By Garnet Hill. Better for the environment and for my body.

  • Nana Glerups Wool Slippers Cathryn

    • The coziest 100% Wool slippers. The only slippers that keep my feet warm. From farm to foot, there story and inspiration is really cool.

  • Barefoot Dreams Bathrobe Kathy

    • This is the softest, coziest fleece material!

  • Organic Linen Eye Pillow Karla

    • The pillow conforms to the face and cools the eyes while closed. The flax seed is like a weighted blanket on the eyes. It is helpful to pick one with a satin or silk "pillow case" because it picks up tears and face creams that can then be washed out. I use mine every night.

  • Bombas Slipper Socks Ami (& Joan)

    • So comfy, so warm and so practical. More than socks, less than slippers. And for every pair purchased, they donate a pair!

  • Cooling Heavy Blanket Paula

    • It’s weighted and it’s cooling…so cozy and makes for a great night’s sleep.

HOME

  • Spurtles Wooden Kitchen Utensils Cathi

    • Ergonomic handles help keep your wrists from getting fatigued. Plus, they’re pretty.

  • Organizer bags Johnna

    • These plastic mesh bags have so many uses! You can use them for office organizing, games, toys/doll accessories, school supplies, bathroom cabinet organization, junk drawers, etc. And this brand even has a label pocket on the front.

  • Candle Warmer Lamp Liette

    • Candle warmer so your candle melt without having a flame.

  • Capri Volcano Candle Mari

    • It is a crisp, clean smell that is not overpowering. I have not met anyone yet who doesn’t like it.

  • Cooking Light Holiday Cookbook Joanne

    • great for holiday food that is on the healthier side.

Gadgets

  • Portable handheld fabric steamer Johnna

    • I have bought and tried a lot of different steamers for work (staging). This one is the BEST! It doesn’t take forever to heat up, gets even the toughest wrinkles out, and has a super long cord. It also rarely leaks, even when at an angle. I have wasted so much time steaming bedding over the years. This one saves me countless hours!

  • Yeedi Robot Vacuum and Mop Rebecca

    • Game changer!!

  • Bose ear buds Anitra

    • They have amazing sound and nice small size for travel.

  • Color Changing Night Light Annie

    • It’s a cool little tap light that works great as a portable night light. I use it at night if I get up to use the bathroom and then I can use it to get back to bed without tripping over a cat!

  • Portable Mini Speaker Erin

    • Definitely a fav for wine on the back deck to travel to hanging in the golf cart.

Bath

  • Bathorium Bath Soak Teana

    • These are great to use and give as gifts, This is a powder and has sea slats, it acts like a bath bomb and yet bubbles and is hydrating, there are several scents

  • Shower Steamers Janelle

    • These are great for relaxing, for opening up your sinuses, and they smell wonderful!

  • Kiehl’s Body Cream Jennie

    • Kiehl’s rich creamy body moisturizer after a bath or shower or any time my skin feels dry ( almost all the time!) is a treat that sinks into my sink and helps to heal it. It also gives my skin a glow!

  • Aromatherapy Mineral Bath Jennie

    • I love to pamper my body and mind with a warm, mineral salt, scented bath when I am tired, my muscles are sore, I’m feeling down or just to prepare me for a good night’s sleep. The balsam fir, cedar, eucalyptus, ylang ylang and lavender scents all have various effects on the senses - so choose one for just how you feel.

Active

  • Pilates Ball Jacqueline

    • Love to use this with my clients - great way to engage the core.

  • Owala Freesip Water Bottle Jamie

    • I like these because there are not a lot of parts to deal with. The opening is wide for easy wash and I throw the mouthpiece and straw in the dishwasher. My family loves these bottles.

  • Sorel Waterproof Sneaker Boots Tara

    • I tell everyone who walks daily in the rain to get a pair! Love them! They are comfy all day and keep me dry!!

Accessories

  • Bryan Anthony’s Jewelry Megan

    • Each piece of jewelry has a different theme and comes with a beautiful message that fosters connection. They are such great and personal gift items to give and receive. The price point is reasonable as well!

  • Sundance Pouch Ami

    • These cute little pouches are adorable and you can personalize it with the recipient’s first initial.

Miscellaneous

  • Nee Doh Kelly

    • It’s my fidget that I keep at my desk at work and it is super satisfying!

  • Hands-free Dog Leash - Joan

    • This is one of my favorite items I own- I am always carrying a million things and this keeps my hands free while walking the dog. It's also a life-saver if Tucker sees a bunny - my trunk is much more resilient than my arm!

  • Therm-a-Rest Insulated Seat Pad - Laura

    • Great for a quick padded seat while on a hike or walk, easy to carry and lightweight.
