About Me

THe nutrition coach

Do you struggle with what to make for dinner each night? Have you ever felt confused by all the conflicting advice around food or inundated by all the trendy fads? Have you tried every diet just to find yourself back with a spoon and a tub of ice cream? Do you commonly associate guilt with eating - either for over consuming or guilt for not choosing the “right” foods?

I can relate! When I was in college studying physiology, wellness and nutrition, I mainly ate tortilla chips and Snackwells cookies and because they were fat free!! Gimmicks are everywhere and I easily fell prey to the idea that eating fat would make me fat. Even with a degree in this stuff under my belt, I struggled to be healthy.  I lacked the tools and strategies, and had no idea where to start. When I was little, my mom was super dedicated to feeding us healthy food - my lunches at school were pinterest worthy - everyday a fresh, colorful, creative array of options. I had a homemade hot breakfast each morning and a gourmet dinner each night. But, when I was on my own, I had to learn everything from scratch…and it was tough! I was a freshman in college when I learned how to do a load of laundry. I had no idea how to boil water, let alone cook. I wanted to eat healthy, but when I would search for inspiration, all I would find were restrictive diets! It was so overwhelming. I started to associate guilt with eating instead of enjoyment or empowerment.

By trial and error, I found my groove. I found that healthy could be delicious and simple. I didn’t have to be “good” at cooking to make satisfying and tasty meals. I learned that moderation was the key to enjoying life and eating.  I realized that food prep was crucial to my success because when I would wait until I was hungry to consider what to eat, the wheels would fall off. Protein pancakes for the win! I learned that carbs and fat were good for me, but that veggies and protein were must-haves at most meals. 

This is why I do what I do! I want to help you take the guesswork out of the nutrition equation. I want to provide you with a wholesome outlook on food - no need to diet. Rather, fall in love with healthy habits that make you feel good. Whether you want to eliminate bloat, reset your gut health, join a community of healthy individuals, or just learn a few new recipes,  I am here for you! I can’t wait to NOURISH with you!
