FAQs

  • You should eat healthy foods that are both satisfying and simple, so that you are not spending hours in the kitchen. You should be eating every few hours in order to increase your metabolism, and you are aiming to find balance between your macronutrients (fat, protein and carbs). Try to eat many colors in a day.

  • There is not right/wrong way to do it. The main thing to consider is that we are attempting to enjoy the process (not simply survive, but thrive!) so it might take some trial and error to find a routine that works for you. I recommend taking the Gut Health Microbiome first thing in the morning. And we do not use the CleanTox Gentle Cleanse until week 3. Fit in your fizz, tea, greens etc sometime in your days.

  • Contrary to what you might think, it’s not because of caffeine. In fact, fizz has a mild amount of caffeine. The reason we eliminate coffee is because it is acidic. We are aiming to lower inflammation in our bodies, and acidic foods/drinks cause inflammation. If you choose to keep coffee, just be aware of the amount you are drinking and moderate it - also beware of creamers that contain artificial sweeteners and chemicals, etc.

  • Dairy and gluten are two of the most common foods that humans are sensitive to. You would know if you had an allergy, but you might not know if you have a sensitivity. You might suffer from side effects of eating these foods but not attribute the side effects to anything but genetics or just assume it’s the way you are. We choose to take a break from both gluten and dairy during the 30 days in order to allow the body to reset. You might notice you are less bloated, have more energy, less skin irritations, etc When we complete the 30 days, I recommend being very methodical with how you add these items back into your diet - intentionally and one at a time.
